Obscure How-tos and Inefficiencies, part III

How to Feed 6 Month Old Triplets

**This is for at-home purposes, we have yet to master taking this show on the road.  For off-site feeding we resort to a liquid diet.**

1. Start with the right equipment.  Nothing is “faster than my Bullet,” that is my Baby Bullet.  Since the “batch” bowl (advertised as able to make a week’s worth of food) is one day of food for us, it helps to have lots of storage containers and a large steamer.

2. Set the table or make one. The first time we fed the babies what I like to call vegetable slushies it looked like this…

The end result was pretty painful for their mother and pretty messy in our living room.  So I went to work on a proper table for our crew.  Here is the process and end result:

3. Get ready for the taste test.  Divide up the Special of the Day into three bowls add three spoons and you’re ready.  Your spooning method and turn taking method are completely up to you.  However, if you have a tricky triplet make sure the bowl is out of arm’s reach or never take your eyes off of it.

4. Make it a Family Affair.  When it comes to quelling the hunger of three babies the more the merrier.  (Fletch volunteered we haven’t decided to make him work for his own supper.)

Good Luck!  Even after a month of practice here’s what we look like at the end…

The table looks great, too. So glad the Baby Bullet works so well. They should use you all in their oommercials.

I’m absolutely so impressed with how you all do it. Very nice work Fletcher. I’m not sure who he’s feeding but seems like the little one enjoyed it and didn’t mind that it was coming at him at rapid speed. We’re about to feed Quinn his first meal tonight with oatmeal comes carrots. I’m sure he’s going to LOVE food. Thanks for keeping us updated until we get to meet the boys live I love seeing the videos. Keep em coming.

p.s. where do you get a table with three highchairs in it? Is there a triplet store out there?

  5. Tammie says:

WOW!!!! I really think your family should be the poster family for triplets. Fletcher is doing a great job. What a wonderful big brother. We miss you all and hope to get a chance to see you all one of these days.

  6. Linda Pashman says:

“Amazing” doesn’t adequately describe who you are and how you do things. I hope you don’t get tired of the word because I’ve run out of adjectives worthy of you. How very, very fortunate that these boys are the beneficiaries of your considerable talent, stamina, determination , and creativity!

  7. Donna Ruppenthal says:
